This isn’t simply a bakery made for children. It’s a bakery that only children are allowed to enter.
Parents stay outside.
My daughter went through the tiny tunnel-like entrance by herself. I couldn’t follow her — and from outside, I couldn’t even see what was waiting on the other side.
So I don’t have any photos of the bakery inside.
I genuinely don’t know what it looks like.
And that’s exactly what makes it so much fun.
A Bakery That Belongs to Kids
Comme’N KIDS has a tiny entrance made just for children.
Once they go through the little tunnel, they enter the bakery on their own. Adults aren’t allowed to follow them inside.
Parents simply wait outside while their children choose what they want and buy it themselves.
Even the bread is made for little hands.
They sell tiny versions of familiar bakery favorites, including little croissants and sausage rolls, along with other small breads and pastries that children can choose for themselves.
I couldn’t see any of them until my daughter came back out.
And I think that’s part of what makes the experience so special.
For once, parents aren’t standing next to their children asking, “How about this one?” or “Do you want that?”
They get to look around, decide what they want, and do the shopping themselves.
What Happens Inside?

Adults aren’t allowed in.
The little entrance leads through a tunnel-like passage to the shop beyond it, completely out of sight from where parents wait.
Of course, my daughter could tell me about it afterward. But I actually like that I don’t know exactly what happens in there.
It’s their space.
They disappear through the tiny entrance, have their own little shopping experience, and eventually come back out carrying the bread they chose themselves.

If you’re going to teamLab Borderless with kids, I really wouldn’t miss this while you’re at Azabudai Hills.
teamLab may be one of the big experiences you’ve planned for your trip to Tokyo. Comme’N KIDS is something much smaller and simpler, but that’s part of its charm.
It’s a little experience just for the kids — and one they get to have without you.
You don’t need to plan another outing around it. Just stop by while you’re already at Azabudai Hills.

A Tip for Weekends
Comme’N KIDS can get busy on weekends, and you may need to put your name down and wait for your turn.
If there’s a wait when you arrive, put your name down first and head to teamLab Borderless. By the time you’re finished at teamLab and come back, things may have quieted down.
I wouldn’t leave it too late in the day, though.
The selection of bread gets smaller toward the evening, and the shop closes once everything sells out.
So if Comme’N KIDS is something your child would love, try to stop by earlier rather than saving it until the very end of your day at Azabudai Hills.
What About the Parents?
Adults can’t enter Comme’N KIDS, but don’t worry about missing out on the bread.
The regular Comme’N bakery is right next door, and anyone can shop there.
So while the kids get their own tiny bakery adventure, adults can pick up some bread for themselves too.
